Outreach to young people?
We know we need to have an outreach to young people in order to restore our culture and educate young people about what it takes to make America strong again. Rebecca Hagelin recently reminded us that what children need is not more gadgets but more time with caring adults, especially in enjoyable activities that will involve teaching the children good values. Do you have any ideas about activities our Louisville 912 group could sponsor that would help meet that need while promoting our goal of becoming more fit for self government? Do you think there would be interest in a program on self-sufficiency, preparedness, and civics that could be held for parents (or grandparents) and children? It could be held for five evenings, M-F of one week, or once a week or once a month. Do you think that would be well-received? Would anyone in our group be willing to share their knowledge and talents with young people and their parents or grandparents in various areas — gardening, woodworking, cooking, etc?
